Abstract
The golden yellow flowers of Cassia fistula were extracted with n-hexane, dichloromethane and ethyl acetate. A few common compounds in the extracts were identified by GC MS analysis. Antioxidant activity of the crude extracts were compared by measuring DPPH radical scavenging activity, super oxide radical scavenging activity and lipid peroxidation inhibitory activity.
